Premo Sculpey in the following colors:

Gold 5303
Green Pearl 5299
Translucent 5310
and...
Sconce Décor E-Z Release Push Mold APM19
Coarse black embossing powder (any Brand)
Small amount of silver leaf
Small amount of burnt umber acrylic Paint
Short length of elastic cord
Needle tool for piercing bead
Cyanoacrylate glue gel

Directions:
Condition clay. Mix small but equal amounts of gold and green pearl together. Divide one block of translucent into three pieces. Add three different (but small!) amounts of the green mixture to the portions of translucent to create three shades of green.
Roll each portion into a snake, then stack the snakes together. Twist them together, then roll the new snake smooth. Repeat as needed to marble the shades of clay together.
Roll the marbled clay into a sheet approximately 1/8 inch thick. Use the template and your Sculpey Super Slicer or craft knife to cut out two covers.
Mist selected stamp lightly with water and press it onto one cover to texture it. Remove stamp. Replace the template and trim again if needed.
Roll a small amount of left over clay into a ball. Dip it into coarse black embossing powder then roll the ball gently to adhere powder.
Using selected Push Mold, create embellishment and remove from mold.

Make a bead for the closure at this time as well.
If another layer is desired for the front of the book, flatten a portion of gold clay and place a sheet of silver leaf on it. Roll the clay thinner, forcing the leaf to crackle on the surface. Cut a small rectangle from this sheet.
Bake covers and embellishments at 275 degrees F for 30 minutes. Allow to cool, or plunge items into icy water.
If antiquing is desired, smear a liberal amount of burnt umber acrylic paint onto clay pieces. Wipe away excess before paint dries.
Create text block by accordion folding a piece of paper 2.25 x 18 inches long into a square.
Tie bead onto elastic, and secure under text block as it is adhered to the clay covers.
Glue embellishments on front cover to complete.
