These are nature crafts that I have used with no clue to where I originally got them....  They can be improved upon any way you wish.

Pine Cone Bird Feeders

Supplies:
  • Pine Cones
  • Creamy Peanut Butter
  • Plastic spoons Bird Seed
  • Paper Plates
  • Yarn
 
Instructions:
Let children find their own pine cones if it's the right season. Be sure the pine cones are clean and tie the yarn to the ends of it. Let the children coat the pinecones with peanut butter using the spoons, they they can roll them in the birdseed on the plates. After they are made, they can hang them outside for the birds.

Leaf Table Cloths

Supplies:
  • Cheap white paper table cloths
  • Smocks of any type (old tee's work great)
  • Assorted sizes and shapes of leaves
  • Washable paints in green, red, and yellow
  • Paper Plates
 
Instructions:
To be done early enough to be dry for feast.Let the children gather the leaves themselves, be sure they are clean and dry. Spread out table cloths on the ground and set out several plates of paint. Let the kids place the leaves in the paint then decorate the cloths with them. Have them mix colors to create new ones as well. Allow to dry and use at feast.

Acorn Noise Makers

Supplies:
  • Acorns with holes drilled through them
  • Plastic sewing needled (that will fit the holes)
  • Assorted colors of yarn
  • Sticks approx. 1' long and at least 1/2" diameter with holes drilled through the diameter about 1" from one of the ends
  • Assorted colors of ribbon
 
Instructions:
Cut 3 pieces of yarn about 12" long and 1 piece about 6" long (for each noise maker.) Fold 3 long pieces in half and tie together in center with short piece of yarn, then tie to stick through hole. Use needle to string other end of yarn through hole in acorn. Tie a knot big enough to keep acorn from falling off the yarn. Decorate stick by tying assorted sizes and colors of ribbon to it. Shake stick to make noise.
