D From top of shoulder to desired length
E Measurement from over the shoulder to underarm divided by 2

So now that you have cut out the fabric start by cutting and hemming the keyhole neck line. I find it much easier to do this when it's all still apart. Why a keyhole you may ask? To keep the dress from falling off their shoulders and still fit over their head of course. (Thank you Orianna for pointing this out to me. :-))

Then sew the sides of the dress from the bottom to the F cut line do not sew the F line. Hem the bottom of the dress.

Now sew each sleeve along the black cut line do not sew the F line. Hem the sleeve at the wrist and turn right side out. With dress inside out slip sleeve into sleeve hole and match F lines and sew around sleeve. (Repeat on other side.)

You can add a little embroidery around the hems or leave it as is.
